I just wanted to take few minutes of my and your time to say how awesome of an experience we had as part of the cruise on Sunday night. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. The night was perfectly clear, the stars were absolutely amazing, and the meteors were so worth the time and loss of sleep (and partially stiff necks). It was simply an exceptional time and we hope that you will do it again in the future. My fiance and I typically are on the beaches of RI on vacation at that time and always make it a point to try and see the shower. But, of course, the light polution never lets us get the full extent of the awesomeness of the event. So we were so happy to be able to be a part of this experience.  You did an amazing job and we hope you will consider doing it again in the future. Not only did we learn a lot, but we were able to see some amazing meteors throughout the night and I have to say that being able to see the Milky Way like that was something I would have never thought possible. It was unreal!!! We hope to come and be a part of your observations in CT (my fiance's family lives in the New Haven area) at some point, but if not, we truly hope you will put something like this together again in the future because it was a very divine experience that most people don't even realize they are missing. Thanks again, and you'll be happy to know how many of my co-workers were impressed by the fact that we watched the Earth passing through the tail of a comet that night!! 

If it's not to much to ask, please keep me up to date on any future astronomical events that would be worthwhile to keep an eye out for!

Hi Mark,

I just wanted to take a second and say what a great time my wife and I had on the recent Perseid meteor shower cruise out of Plymouth!  It was the first time we had ever experience something of that nature, and it really opened our eyes to just how polluted our nighttime sky  really is in most of our society. In fact, we live in what we consider to be a rather rural area, East Bridgewater MA, and the skies there do not even come close to comparing with what we saw out on the water. Your commentary and the information you shared were both entertaining and extremely fascinating, we both thoroughly enjoyed the night out!

You mentioned that the logistics of arranging the boat rides were rather difficult, if I remember correctly; is this anything you think you will be planning again in the future?

The Meteor Shower Boat cruise was amazing! We saw a ton of meteors and Mark was a great host!! Very knowledgeable and funny. My husband and I would do this again in a heartbeat.

What a fun night! I had no idea what to expect and the meteors were absolutely beautiful from the boat. I am 100% pleased with the experience. 

I went on the meteor shower trip; it was amazing. He knew a lot and made it fun. We had a gorgeous night, so we were lucky. I'd go again, and will if I am still in the area next year. 

Had never even heard of the Star Gazing cruises before. My husband and I brought my daughter and her boyfriend. We enjoyed it very much. We had been on the lower deck on the ride out to the middle of the bay and then were invited to join everyone on the top deck for the viewing of the meteor shower.Coming up the stairs was such a surreal feeling- it looked like we were walking into a planetarium with the starry skies on the ceiling and the big lighted radar equipment sticking out. It was the first time I had seen a clear image of the Milky Way . The night was clear and cool, not cold. And we saw some "falling stars" . All in all, it was a GREAT deal. Enjoyed Mark's instructive narrative.

Mark's meteor star cruise on Cape Cod Bay was a great night. The skies were beautiful and Mark was very entertaining. Great experience!

It was a perfect night (Aug 10) and I thought Mark did a great job. I learned a lot about the stars and the shower while I got to sit back and enjoy the night. Thank you very much and I hope its available again next year.

This was a unique experience and it was something my boyfriend and I had been looking forward to since we had purchased the groupon and it certainly didn't disappoint it was fun and educational. We also though Mark the host was an absolute riot it was a great man for the job we would defiantly do this again. Its a great date night or family night out and something different to do.
