Plymouth, MA Stargazing Boat Cruises!
2020 will be our 8th year doing the Plymouth Stargazing Cruises!
Weekend evenings in May, June, July & August from 9 pm to midnight. We cruise out into the dark skies in the middle of Cape Cod Bay. The boat stops in the middle of Cape Cod Bay and from the top deck of the boat the astronomer will guide you with a pointer through the constellations, planets, giant red stars, nebula, star clusters and even galaxies!
The Boat Cruises leave from 10 Town Wharf in Plymouth, MA. 02360.
Public parking is available on Town Wharf in front of Lobster Hut.
Every cruise travels about 10 miles into Cape Cod Bay halfway between Plymouth and Provincetown. At that point we stop and float under the amazing stars for about 90 minutes.
Once the boat stops your on board astronomer will discuss the starry sky. The astronomer uses a light pointer to trace out constellations and point to red stars, planets, galaxies, the Milky Way, nebula, star clusters and more, while meteors shoot across the sky! Bring binoculars if you have them. The Astronomer will guide you to interesting binocular views such as galaxies or star clusters!
The cost is regularly $70 per person but today, in anticipation of Valentines Day, they are half price! Get yours while they last, there is a limited supply.
